Yellowstone National Park, located in the northwest corner of Wyoming, USA, is a natural wonder that boasts of unique and magical geothermal features sculpted by the forces of water, fire, ice, and wind over millions of years.

One of the most stunning attractions of Yellowstone is the Morning Glory Pool, which is a hot spring that stands out for its incredible beauty.

Unlike geysers, hot springs like Morning Glory Pool have a lower temperature, allowing for the abundant growth of algae. However, the pool has fallen victim to human behavior, and its unique features have been compromised.

Sadly, visitors have been throwing coins into the Petunia Pool for good luck since the park's opening. This practice has blocked the hot vents of the geyser, reducing its temperature and leading to a range of chemical reactions that have caused the growth of various bacteria.

As a result, a brilliant yellow ring has formed around the blue center of the pool, turning the blue to green. The colorful algae can photosynthesize, and the thermophilic bacteria can survive temperatures ranging from 64 degrees Celsius to 107 degrees Celsius.

The once-distinctive blue-colored Petunia Pond is now covered in a green coat and surrounded by striking yellow and red rings, making it an alluring sight to countless visitors.

The pond's color changes depending on the water temperature, with white algae appearing when the water temperature is at 85℃, flesh-red at 82℃, light yellow at 74℃, and yellow-green at 68℃.

Located ten kilometers south of Petunia Pond is the Old Faithful Geyser area, which is one of the most thrilling sections of Yellowstone National Park.

This area is home to almost all of the world's major active geysers, with only four others in Chile, New Zealand, and Iceland. As such, the Old Faithful Geyser District is a must-see for visitors from around the world.

Among the geysers in the Old Faithful area, Old Faithful Geyser, Grand Geyser, Daisy Geyser, and Castle Geyser are the most predictable in their eruptions. Old Faithful Geyser, in particular, erupts every 50 to 127 minutes, lasting for 1.5 to 5 minutes each time and emitting about 14,000 to 32,000 liters of boiling water, with a spray height of 30 to 55 meters.

For over a century, it has remained faithful to its regular pattern of eruption, spewing boiling water without fail through both winter and summer.
